The Colgate Raiders Women’s Hockey Team has become a force to be reckoned with in women’s college hockey. They have won the past three ECAC Postseason Tournaments and were ranked as high as number three in the national polls last season. Most of the team that was so dominant in 2022-23 returns intact for the 2023-24 season. Add a solid class of recruits, and Raiders Head Coach Greg Fargo’s team will again be considered a strong contender for the NCAA Championship.

“We feel incredibly fortunate to welcome our incoming recruiting class to the Colgate hockey family”, Fargo said about the new additions to his team.

While the Raiders have brought in some of the top talents from across North America, Coach Fargo and his staff, which includes assistants Stefan Decosse and Chelsea Walkland, were not looking at statistical numbers only. Fargo noted, “this is an exceptional group with talent, impressive character, and drive and they will undoubtedly add tremendous value to our program and our vibrant campus community.”

The Raiders will welcome seven new faces to the program this season, which includes six first-year players and one transfer. With a veteran-laden team already in place, Fargo has no doubts the newcomers will assimilate into the strong culture of success his program has built.

“Together, we look forward to fostering a culture of teamwork and growth while ensuring we leave our program better than we found it”, he said. “With their dedication and passion for the game, we are excited to see how this class will leave a positive impact both on and off the ice”.

Here’s a look at the new Raiders who will call the Class of 1965 Arena home. All statistics used in the article are courtesy of https://eliteprospects.com.
