Defenseman Cal Foote recalled by the New Jersey Devils

The New Jersey Devils announced on Monday they have recalled Foote from the Utica Comets.

An injury to New Jersey Devils defenseman Colin Miller has necessitated the recall of Cal Foote from the Utica Comets.

Per Amanda Stein (@amandacstein), Devils Head Coach Lindy Ruff said “He’s going to be a little bit of time, we don’t know how long yet.” Stein also reported that Miller was injured in practice last week.

Foote, who is the older brother of New Jersey Devils forward Nolan Foote, signed with the Devils in August. He was assigned to the Comets after training camp and has played three games for Utica thus far this season. In those three games, he has one goal, one assist, two PIM, and is a -3.
