The Syracuse Crunch and Toronto Marlies squared off on Friday, March 1 at the Upstate Medical University Arena for the first game of a home-in-home weekend series. The Crunch won the contest 3-2, led by two goals from team captain Gabriel Dumont. Goaltender Hugo Alnefelt made 28 saves to earn his 12th victory of the season. Kyle Clifford had two points (one goal and one assist) for the Marlies and goaltender Dennis Hildeby made 29 saves in the losing effort.

CRUNCH DEFEAT MARLIES, 3-2

Syracuse also won the following afternoon in Toronto 4-2.

    SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse Crunch defeated the Utica Comets, 4-3, tonight at the Adirondack Bank Center.
