Syracuse at #9 Cornell Game Preview

The Syracuse Orange Women’s Hockey Team travels to Ithaca to face the ninth-ranked Cornell Big Red on Tuesday night.

The Syracuse Orange Women’s Hockey Team will face ninth-ranked Cornell in an inter-conference battle on Tuesday night at Lynah Rink. The Orange plays in the College Hockey America conference, while Cornell plays in the ECAC.

Cornell will be the second consecutive ECAC opponent the Orange will face. This past weekend (Friday and Saturday), Syracuse faced off against the ECAC’s RPI Engineers in a home-in-home series. The teams split the series, with each one winning on their home ice.

For her efforts against RPI, Syracuse defender Rachel Teslak was named the CHA Defenseman of the Week. Read more about Teslak’s performance here: https://cnyhockeyreport.com/teslak-earns-cha-defenseman-of-the-week/.

Cornell, which ranks ninth in both national polls, opened their regular season last weekend. They hosted a two-game series from another CHA opponent, the thirteenth-ranked Penn St. Nittany Lions. Like the Orange, the Big Red have yet to play a game within their own conference.

The puck drops between Syracuse and Cornell at 7:00 p.m. EDT. Television coverage of the game is available on ESPN+, here’s the tale of the tape for the game.
