Syracuse Crunch and Utica Comets Announce 2024-25 Home Openers

Hockey fans in Central New York were reminded on Wednesday that a new season will soon be upon us, as the Syracuse Crunch and Utica Comets of the American Hockey League have announced their 2024-25 home openers.

The Crunch and Comets both play in the AHL’s North Division. Syracuse finished the 2023-24 season with a 39-24-4-5 record for 87 points and advanced to the North Division Finals in the Calder Cup Playoffs. Utica closed the regular season with a record of 32-29-5-6 for 75 points and missed the playoffs.


Utica will play their first game of the 2024-25 season at the Adirondack Bank Center on October 11 against the Crunch. The following night (October 12), Syracuse will host the Belleville Senators for their first game of the season at the Upstate Medical University Arena.
