The Utica Comets recall Timur Ibragimov from Adirondack

The Utica Comets have recalled forward Timur Ibragimov from Adirondack of the ECHL the team announced on Tuesday.

Ibragimov was acquired by the New Jersey Devils from the San Jose Sharks as a part of last season’s blockbuster trade for Timo Meier. After coming to the Devils organization, Ibragimov was assigned to Utica. In fifteen games for the Comets last season, he had three goals, three assists, and zero PIM.

The twenty-three-year-old was assigned to the Utica Comets out of training camp this season. In twenty-one games in the American Hockey League this season, Ibragimov had four goals and five assists. He was assigned to Adirondack on January 1, and in seven games with the Thunder, he had four goals and six assists.

A native of St. Petersburg, Russia, Ibragimov was drafted in the sixth round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft by the San Jose Sharks. Besides the Comets and Thunder, he has played for the San Jose Barracuda of the AHL, as well as the Orlander Solar Bears and Wichita Thunder of the ECHL.
