Utica Comets add to their roster

The Utica Comets announced on Wednesday they have signed a forward from the Western Hockey League.

The Utica Comets have bolstered their ranks by signing forward Jace Isley to an AHL contract. Isley’s deal is for one season and is of the two-way variety – meaning he can also be sent to Adirondack of the ECHL at a lesser rate of pay.

Isley has spent the past five seasons with the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League (WHL). 2022-23 was his best season statistically, as in sixty-seven regular season games, he scored thirty goals and added twenty-six assists to go with eighty PIM. In his career at Red Deer, Isley played a total of 205 regular-season games and recorded fifty-two goals, fifty-one assists, and 203 PIM. He also played twenty-two career playoff games, notching five goals, four assists, and thirty-three PIM.

The twenty-one-year-old Isley stands six feet, two inches tall, and weighs 200 pounds. He hails from Grande Prarie, Alberta.
