Utica Comets involved in a pair of transactions

The Utica Comets are involved in two transactions involving their ECHL affiliate, the Adirondack Thunder.

Per the transactions page at https://theahl.com, the Utica Comets have added a player from the Adirondack Thunder. In return, they have sent one back as well.

On Sunday, goaltender Tyler Brennan was assigned to the Comets by the New Jersey Devils. In two games played for the Thunder this season, Brennan has a record of 0-1-0 with a GAA of 5.81, a save percentage of 0.818, and no shutouts. He has not played for the Comets this season.

Brennan was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the fourth round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

On Sunday, Utica sent forward Erik Middendorf to Adirondack. Middendorf has played one game for the Comets this season, registering no points and one shot. In six games played for Adirondack in 2023-24, Middendorf has three goals, one assist, and zero PIM.

He was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan State University in 2023.
