Utica Comets involved in multiple transactions

The Utica Comets had some roster shuffling this weekend per

The New Jersey Devils reassigned defensemen Daniil Misyul and Santeri Hatakka along with forward Justin Dowling to the Comets on Saturday. Forward Max Willman also shows as being reassigned to the Comets and then recalled to New Jersey the next day in what appears to be a “paper transaction” (paper transactions are often done for NHL salary cap and certain waivers purposes).

Hatakka was recalled to New Jersey on January 18, while Misuyl and Dowling were recalled on January 24. During his recall, Hatakka played three games for the Devils and registered one assist on Saturday against Tampa Bay. Dowling and Misyul were called up on January 24. Misyul played in three games and registered an assist on Saturday night at Tampa Bay. Dowling saw action in two games and scored a goal on January 25 against Carolina.

Misyul did not see any game action during his time with New Jersey.

In a corresponding move, on Sunday the Comets reassigned defenseman Colin Felix to Adirondack of the ECHL. Felix was recalled to Utica on January 8, and in five games registered no points and three shots. It was his second recall to Utica this season, as he played three games for the Comets from October 27 through November 4.

The Comets return to action on January 31 when they travel to Laval for a North Division matchup against the Rocket. For more information about the Utica Comets, including schedules and ticketing, visit
